Welcome to Apprenticeship Consulting
Apprenticeship Consulting
has been established to support the development of Group Apprenticeship
Programs in the UK. A Group Apprenticeship Program (GAP) is based
on an Australian model where apprentices are employed by a recruitment
agency and hired out to host businesses. The program can be integrated
with the existing activities of a range of organisations or it can
be established as an entity in its own right.
The Department of Innovation, University and Skills'
(DIUS) will
provide £7 million start up funding to support “new
and innovative approaches drawing on the Australian model”
Lord Young of Norwood Green
formally announced the intention to form an additional fifteen Apprenticeship
Training Agencies (ATA) at the inaugural launch of the
London Apprenticeship Company (LAC)
on the 24th April at the Westminster Academy. The Learning
Skills Council (LSC)
will manage the tender process through it's on-line portal Bravo
Solutions. Read
