Who We Are

Apprenticeship Consulting is a joint venture of the founding Partners of London Apprenticeship Company (LAC): – City of Westminster College, Central West Group Apprentices, Westminster Kingsway College and Vital Regeneration.

Over 18 months this partnership has:

• Completed a feasibility study that demonstrated the viability of the Group Apprenticeship Program in the UK
• Raised working capital to establish LAC with the support of Central London LSC, Westminster City Council, the London Development Agency and investment by the Partners.
• Provided input to the Department of Innovation University and Skills about how the Group Apprenticeship Program could be rolled out in the UK.
• Modified and adapted Group Apprenticeship business systems developed by CWGA Apprenticeships in Australia for the UK context

The establishment manager for LAC was Simon Greenleaf. Simon is now Executive Director of Apprenticeship Consulting.

A key to our development has been the involvement of CWGA Apprenticeships who provided the MATE Customer Relationship Management software, contractual framework, financial tools and related documentation required to manage the risks associated with a Group Apprenticeship Program.

CWGA Apprenticeships are making their MATE software and business systems available to a range of organisations who wish to develop a Group Apprenticeship Program in the UK.

Apprenticeship Consulting also draws upon the experience of the London Apprenticeship Company in the development of support systems for the Group Apprenticeship Program (GAP). These include:

Human Resources – assistance to develop GAP employee and apprentice job descriptions, specifications and organisational structures.
Marketing – developing your marketing and sales strategy.
Web Development – building the interactive functionality that your GAP will need including online jobs board and application processes.
Staff Recruitment – sourcing the right sales and apprentice mentoring staff.
Finance and Banking – integrating GAP financial systems with your existing processes.
Expert NVQ Assessor and Apprenticeship Trainers – establishing models of delivery and assessment, implementing e-portfolios, driving up performance.
